
27 Years Strong: Koyote Electrifies 'Friday Night' and Boosts Excitement for National Tour
Veteran group Koyote, with 27 years in the industry, has taken over Friday nights and significantly heightened anticipation for their national tour 'Koyote Festival'.
The trio, composed of Kim Min-jong, Shin-ji, and Baek-ga, appeared on the 'King of Excitement' special episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Trot All-Star Game: On Friday Night' ('Friday Night') broadcast on the 19th, captivating viewers with their signature energetic performances.
Kicking off with their national hit 'Call Me,' Koyote delivered a flawless live performance coupled with sharp choreography, electrifying the studio. Baek-ga announced, "Our national tour concert is starting soon," referring to the '2025 Koyote Festival National Tour: Heung' and fueling fan excitement. Shin-ji playfully warned, "You should come prepared to feel sore," promising an explosive show.
Beyond their stage presence, heartwarming stories were shared. Shin-ji's role as a mentor on 'Miss Trot' and 'Mister Trot' was highlighted, where she offered encouragement to junior artists. Kim Hee-jae expressed his gratitude, stating Shin-ji's support during the preliminary rounds was a great source of strength, while Na Sang-do thanked her for assisting with his new song challenge. Shin-ji reciprocated the warmth, saying, "I also gained the courage to perform on stage thanks to Na Sang-do," creating a touching moment.
In a subsequent performance, Kim Min-jong showcased his trot singing skills by performing Na Hoon-a's 'Gamuri' alongside Jeong Seul. Shin-ji praised his vocal prowess, remarking, "Just like the leader of Koyote," amplifying the emotional impact.
Having dominated 'Friday Night,' Koyote is currently connecting with fans through their national tour '2025 Koyote Festival.' The Seoul dates are scheduled for the 20th at 6 PM and the 21st at 5 PM at the Daehan Hall of Sejong University.
Since their debut in 1998, Koyote has released numerous hits such as 'Pureness,' 'Bimong,' and 'Paran,' maintaining their status as the 'King of Excitement' on stage across generations.
