Geography Instructor Lee Do Reveals Near-Blindness Ordeal and Current Health Status
Geography instructor Lee Do has shared his recent health condition, revealing a harrowing experience with near-blindness.
Appearing on the MBC entertainment show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ (often abbreviated as ‘JeonJiamSi’), Lee Do confessed that his health began to decline sharply at the beginning of this year. He shared the shocking news, stating, “I became so unable to see that I went to the hospital crying out of fear, and they told me I might soon lose my sight.”
Lee Do attributed the severe eye fatigue to his demanding work schedule. He explained, “I would work through the night staring at the monitor, and then I’d have to lecture under bright lights. This combination led to corneal damage.”
He is currently focusing on recovery and has temporarily halted his paid lectures. Lee Do added, “After recovering, I’ve been holding free lectures out of gratitude.”
Lee Do is a popular geography instructor in Korea, widely loved for his unique and engaging teaching style. His lectures are known for going beyond mere geographical knowledge, offering deep insights by encompassing historical backgrounds and cultural contexts. While he has temporarily paused his activities due to this health issue, fans are cheering for his swift recovery.
