Singer Soyou has announced that she has received an apology from the airline regarding the racial discrimination she experienced during a flight. She also took a firm stance against circulating rumors of her being intoxicated.

In a lengthy social media post on the 31st, Soyou stated, "After contemplating the series of events that unfolded throughout the flight, I submitted a complaint to the cabin crew before landing. This week, I received an apology via email from Delta Airlines."

She expressed gratitude to her fans for empathizing with her experience and offering support, saying, "Thanks to your encouragement, I was able to return to my daily life."

Previously, on the 19th, Soyou revealed her experience of alleged racial discrimination on a flight. She claimed that when she requested a Korean-speaking flight attendant to check meal times, the chief purser treated her as a problematic passenger and even called security. At the time, she stated, "I couldn't eat anything during the 15-hour flight, and the experience left a deep scar stemming from racial prejudice," causing significant public attention.

Following the incident, rumors of Soyou being intoxicated during the flight began to spread. Addressing this, Soyou clarified, "I only had a small amount of alcohol with my meal in the lounge before boarding, and I boarded without any issues or restrictions."

Despite her clarification, the 'intoxicated rumors' persisted. Soyou declared in her recent post, "I have received a formal apology regarding the incidents, and I do not intend to discuss this matter further through public channels. I will take firm action and pursue legal measures against baseless speculation, the spread of false information, and insulting remarks that infringe upon my personal rights."

She concluded by apologizing for sharing inconvenient news and promising to return with more positive updates soon.

Netizens are largely supportive of Soyou's courageous stance and her decision to pursue legal action against false rumors. Many express empathy for her experience with discrimination and commend her for speaking out, wishing her a speedy return to happier news.
