The National Forensic Service (NFS) has issued a preliminary verbal opinion stating that there are no indications of criminal activity related to the death of YouTuber Daeddo Gwan (real name: Na Dong-hyun). The Gwangjin Police Department in Seoul announced on the 8th that the results of the autopsy conducted by the NFS suggest a low probability of homicide.

Daeddo Gwan was found deceased in his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 6th. After failing to make contact and subsequently being reported missing by a concerned acquaintance, authorities discovered him already deceased upon arrival. No evidence of a suicide note or signs of forced entry were found at the scene, ruling out suspicious circumstances.

Based on statements from acquaintances who mentioned Daeddo Gwan had previously complained of heart-related pain, the police are considering the possibility of death due to a pre-existing condition. The investigation is expected to conclude once the final autopsy report from the NFS is received.

The sudden passing of the popular YouTuber, who boasted 1.44 million subscribers and was a leading figure in Korea's early digital content creation scene, has sent shockwaves through the online community. He had continued his activities up until two days before his death, attending the 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week, making his demise particularly poignant.
