Song Joong-ki Recounts Memorable 'Gag Concert' Cameo, Including Viral Kiss Scene

Actor Song Joong-ki recently shared behind-the-scenes stories from his past appearance on the popular KBS comedy show, 'Gag Concert'.

During a YouTube interview on the channel 'Na Rae Talk' alongside actress Chun Woo-hee, Song Joong-ki reminisced about the buzz his cameo created among female comedians. Host Park Na-rae recalled the significant attention Song's appearance garnered, especially after a particular scene.

Song explained his appearance was for promoting the film 'Penny Pinchers'. He initially joined the show at the director's request during his tenure as MC for 'Music Bank', finding the experience incredibly fun. He was particularly impressed by the synergy among the comedians, noting how actors like Song Joon-geun and Kim Jun-hyun actively supported the scene.

Addressing the memorable kiss with comedian Shin Bo-ra, Song revealed it was scripted. He recalled Shin Bo-ra being shy, blushing deeply after the initial scripted kiss and again when he playfully added another. Park Na-rae humorously added that there were many rumors and speculations circulating at the time, making the anecdote even funnier.

Song Joong-ki debuted in 2008 with the film 'A Frozen Flower' and has since starred in numerous hit dramas such as 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal', 'Descendants of the Sun', and 'Vincenzo', solidifying his status as a leading actor in South Korea. He recently attended the Cannes Film Festival for his film 'Hopeless' and is preparing for the release of the Netflix series 'My Name Is Loh Kiwan'.
