Actress Shin Ye-eun is proving to be a chameleon in the acting world, successfully shedding her previous image to embody diverse characters across different eras and genres. She attributes her ability to leave a lasting impression, regardless of the setting, to her versatile "face."

After her debut in the 2018 web drama 'A-TEEN,' Shin Ye-eun garnered attention for her vibrant charm and visuals. Her career saw a significant leap when she took on the role of the young Park Yeon-jin in Netflix's 'The Glory.' Her portrayal of the unrepentant bully, devoid of guilt, was a stark departure from her previous roles and surprised many with its intensity.

Following her 'rediscovery,' Shin Ye-eun has consistently reinforced her presence through various projects. Notably, many of her post-'The Glory' works, such as SBS's 'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse,' tvN's 'Jeong Nyeon,' JTBC's 'The Number of Memories,' and Disney+'s 'The Tangled,' are set in historical or period dramas. She has navigated these challenging genres with remarkable success.

Her role in 'Jeong Nyeon' was particularly well-received, achieving a 16.5% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea) and ranking ninth in tvN's all-time highest-rated programs. Shin Ye-eun explained her adaptability, stating during the press conference for 'The Number of Memories,' "If I need to go back to the Joseon Dynasty, I learn acting techniques focusing on the basics like intonation, Hanbok etiquette, and posture. For historical dramas, I also seek expert advice."

She further added, "Personally, I don't think my face or image is unique or special. Therefore, I am confident that I can blend well into any situation or era." While this might sound like false modesty from someone with a captivating face, it underscores her self-assurance in her ability to present multiple facets.

Shin Ye-eun is set to star as Seo Jong-hee, a charismatic and talented bus conductress in the 1950s, in the upcoming JTBC drama 'The Number of Memories,' premiering on the 13th. Director Kim Sang-ho praised her "instinctive acting and quick wit," noting her "desire to always improve." Co-star Kim Da-mi also commented on Shin Ye-eun's "passion for acting," highlighting her dedication to each scene.

From the Joseon era to the 1950s and 1980s, audiences are eager to see the different faces Shin Ye-eun will reveal in 'The Number of Memories,' airing on JTBC at 10:20 PM on the 13th.
