Lee Min-ji Steals the Show as a Dictatorial Character in 'Hundred Memories'
Actress Lee Min-ji has made a memorable impression with her unique character in the JTBC weekend drama 'Hundred Memories'.
In its premiere episode on the 13th, 'Hundred Memories,' set in the 1980s, portrays the friendship between bus conductresses Yeong-rye (Kim Da-mi) and Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun) on the No. 100 bus, and the poignant first love surrounding them.
Lee Min-ji plays Gwon Hae-ja, the influential leader of Room 3 and a bus conductress for Cheong-a Transportation. From her very first appearance, she captured viewers' attention with her dictatorial demeanor, forbidding other conductresses from eating while she was dieting and forcing them to give her massages and sing based on her mood.
However, the atmosphere shifted with the arrival of the new conductress, Jong-hee. Hae-ja attempted to intimidate Jong-hee, but instead found herself outmatched by Jong-hee's confident and unyielding attitude. Despite assigning Jong-hee difficult errands and resorting to various forms of bullying, Hae-ja's efforts were largely ineffective. The situation culminated in a physical altercation where Hae-ja tried to grab Jong-hee by the hair but was overpowered, leading to a loss of face and drawing laughter from the audience.
Lee Min-ji delivered a masterclass in comedic acting through her role as Hae-ja in 'Hundred Memories.' Her portrayal of an untouchable, self-centered character who falters in the face of a new strong presence, coupled with her comically inaccurate word choices, provided significant entertainment. Building on her solid acting skills, she powerfully embodied the character of Hae-ja, once again proving her exceptional ability to embody diverse roles.
Expectations are high for the delightful energy Lee Min-ji will bring as a 'comedy cheat key' in 'Hundred Memories,' following her track record of distinctive characters in various projects.
'Hundred Memories' airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM on JTBC.
