Singer Yoo Seung-jun (Steve Yoo), who has been banned from entering South Korea for over two decades, shared his current situation and heartfelt feelings through his YouTube channel.

Recently, Yoo posted a video of his second son, Ji-an Yoo, participating in a swimming competition, showing his warm side as a father. After cheering for his son's race, he confessed with tears, "There are times my heart breaks due to twisted truths and distorted sincerity, but I find strength because I have my beloved family."

He also addressed misunderstandings about his desire to visit Korea. "Some people think I want to go to Korea for commercial activities, but I am already living a sufficiently happy and grateful life," he emphasized, clarifying that his intentions are not financial. He added, "I sincerely pray that all the misunderstandings blocking us are resolved."

Yoo Seung-jun, whose activities in Korea were banned after he obtained U.S. citizenship in 2002, has been striving to mend his relationship with the country for the past 20 years. Despite winning two court battles, his visa applications continue to be denied, prompting him to pursue a third lawsuit.

For Yoo Seung-jun, Korea remains not just a stage for activities, but his roots and a cherished homeland. His everyday life with his family, intertwined with his earnest desire to clear misunderstandings, offers a glimpse into his longing for true reconciliation and understanding.

In August 2004, Yoo Seung-jun participated in a Korean celebrity basketball tournament held in Hong Kong, signaling his intent to return to the domestic scene. The organizers at the time clarified his participation was on a 'personal capacity' and unrelated to any government approval. This move sparked significant public controversy, further intensifying the debate surrounding his entry ban.
