Quadruplets Birth Live Broadcast: TV CHOSUN's 'Our Baby Was Born Again' Premieres
TV CHOSUN's new variety show, 'Our Baby Was Born Again,' will unveil an unprecedentedly large-scale quadruplets birth scene in its premiere episode.
Airring today (16th) at 10 PM, the program features a mother facing a quadruplets birth at 28 weeks of pregnancy and 'Birth Correspondent' Park Soo-hong. With each of the four babies expected to weigh around 1kg, the mother expressed deep concern about their ability to breathe on their own.
The mother revealed the high risks associated with quadruplet pregnancies and that she had been advised to consider 'selective abortion.' Obstetrics and gynecology specialist Kim Ji-yeon explained the complications and unpredictability of carrying quadruplets, discussing the difficult decision to protect both mother and fetuses.
Driven by a strong maternal instinct to protect all her babies, the mother decided to give birth to all four. However, tension mounted due to the thick nuchal translucency of the third baby, raising concerns about potential chromosomal abnormalities, and the uncertainty of whether all four newborns could breathe independently. The tense scene, with over 20 medical staff on standby during the birth, focuses on whether the four infants can be safely delivered.
'Our Baby Was Born Again,' Korea's first live birth broadcast variety show, premieres tonight at 10 PM on TV CHOSUN.
