Kim Tae-won, the iconic guitarist of the legendary band Boo Hwal, is currently experiencing a profound loss as his father has passed away.

It was announced on the 17th that Kim Chang-hak, Kim Tae-won's father, passed away peacefully at the age of 91.

The funeral rites are being held at Samsung Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 12, where Kim Tae-won is serving as the chief mourner, standing by his family and receiving condolences from well-wishers.

The final resting place will be at Bundang Memorial Park, Seongnam Saeng-won. The funeral procession is scheduled for the 19th.

In a poignant moment shared on the SBS Plus program 'Kim Soo-mi's Have You Eaten?' in August 2020, Kim Tae-won had previously revealed his father's struggle with Alzheimer's disease, expressing immense sorrow.

Kim Tae-won, a pillar of Korean rock music, founded Boo Hwal in 1985 and has since released numerous hit songs that have become timeless classics. He is celebrated not only for his exceptional guitar skills but also for his songwriting and composing talents, solidifying his status as a revered musician.
