It has been two years since the beloved actor Noh Young-guk suddenly left us.

He passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 75, due to a sudden heart attack.

At the time of his death, Noh Young-guk was actively appearing in the KBS2 weekend drama 'The Unfamiliar Family' (Hyosim's Independent Families), portraying the role of Kang Jin-beom, the chairman of Taesan Group. His sudden departure, after the drama had aired its first two episodes, sent shockwaves through his colleagues and the audience.

The production team of 'The Unfamiliar Family' expressed their sorrow, stating, "We bring you this heartbreaking news." They further added, "Following the wishes of the bereaved family, who are in deep mourning over this sudden loss, the funeral was held quietly with family, relatives, and fellow actors in attendance."

Following the broadcast of the third episode, a message appeared on screen: "We will remember your passion and dedication to the drama," serving as a poignant tribute to the late actor.

Born in 1948, Noh Young-guk debuted as a cast member of MBC's 7th public recruitment in 1975. He garnered widespread affection for his charismatic performances in numerous works, including 'Chief Inspector', 'The Tree of Heaven', 'Eyes of Dawn', 'Jang Hui-bin', and 'Taejong Yi Bang-won'.

Noh Young-guk began his acting career after debuting as a cast member in MBC's 7th public recruitment in 1975. He appeared in over 200 dramas and films, gracing both the big and small screens. He was also affectionately known by the nickname 'Ice Cream Boy,' which contributed to his relatable image.
