The Busan International Comedy Festival (BICFest) Organizing Committee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) to foster international cultural exchange and expand the reach of Hallyu (the Korean Wave).

This collaboration aims to promote the global expansion of performing arts and showcase the diverse charms of Korean culture to an international audience. BICFest, recognized as Asia's premier comedy festival, joins forces with KOFICE, an institution specializing in inter-country cultural exchanges.

Both entities plan to cooperate in various fields, including joint project development, cultural promotion, and exchange enhancement, anticipating a more vibrant global communication through comedy. Kim Jun-ho, the executive chairman of BICFest, expressed his hope to connect with a broader international audience through this agreement.

The BICFest Organizing Committee intends to pursue practical collaborations such as co-planned performances, international exchange programs, and promotional efforts in the future.
