Netflix's upcoming film 'The Mantis' has released thrilling behind-the-scenes footage of its lead actors Im Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, and Jo Woo-jin, heightening anticipation for the action-packed movie.

The film centers on a world where contracts are king, featuring 'The Mantis', an elite killer who returns after a long hiatus, his former trainee and rival 'Jae-yi', and a legendary retired assassin 'Dok-go', all vying for the top spot.

The newly released video offers a glimpse into the intense training and dedication of the cast as they prepared for the film's high-octane action sequences. From intense hand-to-hand combat to wire stunts and signature weapon choreography, the actors pushed their limits to bring their characters to life.

Im Si-wan takes on the role of 'The Mantis' Han-ul, wielding a distinctive scythe, while Park Gyu-young portrays 'Jae-yi' with agile swordplay, and Jo Woo-jin embodies the veteran assassin 'Dok-go' utilizing tonfas for his dynamic fighting style.

Director Lee Tae-sung promises a visually stunning experience, blending rhythmic action with a trendy soundtrack and exploring the complex relationships between the killers. The unique dynamic between master and student, friends, and rivals is set to be a key highlight.

Im Si-wan shared, "We constantly practiced, learned the moves, and synchronized our actions. The set was filled with the scent of muscle balm." Park Gyu-young added, "I felt emotions were expressed more through action than dialogue. We trained meticulously for the fight choreography." Jo Woo-jin commented, "I aimed to embody the character through their actions. Viewers will find it more engaging if they see the action as an extension of the characters."

'The Mantis' is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on the 26th.

Im Si-wan, previously a member of the K-pop group ZE:A, made his acting debut and gained recognition for his nuanced performances in dramas like 'Moon Embracing the Sun'. This film marks his foray into a full-fledged action genre, showcasing a different facet of his acting capabilities.
